A vacuum dryer is a type of equipment that dries materials under vacuum conditions with lower temperature.Under normal atmospheric pressure, water boils at 100°C. However, in a vacuum environment, the pressure is reduced, which lowers the boiling point of water. This vacuum drying method can significantly reduce the drying temperature and shorten the drying time. It can well retain the original color, aroma, taste, and nutritional components of of the food material and the other material, such as vitamins, minerals, and active substances. Traditional vacuum drying oven use electric heating tubes or heat-conducting media to provide heat energy, while microwave vacuum drying machine use electromagnetic waves to provide heat energy, increases efficiency and speed by 10-20 times. Compared with the traditional drying methods that require high energy consumption, vacuum microwave drying could save 30-50% energy but better dried product quality.This new drying technology is more and more popular in different industry application now.
